About UB Cathedra chairs and Classrooms

The UB wants to extend the instruments of collaboration beyond research agreements or contracts, regulating a different formula of interaction with society in the form of Cathedra chairs or Classrooms.

What are UB Cathedra chairs and Classrooms?

UB Cathedra chairs and classrooms are instruments that serve to establish long-term agreements between the University and one or more companies or public or private entities in one or more areas of knowledge, in order to carry out teaching, research, cultural or other, that, being in the mutual interest of both parties, falls within the competences and purposes of the UB.

How are they created?

The proposal to create UB Cathedra chairs and Classrooms may come from the governing bodies of the university, the faculties, centres and departments of the UB. The proposal may also be submitted by teaching and research staff assigned to any of its departments.
